Les Dudek est un guitariste américain qui, en dehors de sa carrière solo, a joué avec de nombreux groupes est artistes comme Steve Miller Band, Stevie Nicks, Boz Scaggs, The Allman Brothers Band, Maria Muldaur, Bobby Whitlock, Dave Mason, Cher et beaucoup d’autres collaborations…

Les Dudek en bref

Le premier album éponyme de Les Dudek est sorti en 1976. Il est très influencé par le style Southern-Rock dans la lignée de Allman Brothers Band, incluant de la slide guitare et sur quelques morceaux, deux batteurs…

Parallèlement à sa carrière solo et ses collaboration multiples, en 1978 il crée le groupe DFK avec Mike Finnigan (organiste de Jimi Hendrix, Joe Cocker et d’autres) et Jim Krueger (guitariste de Dave Mason). Ensemble ils ne sortiront qu’un seul album en 1980 : The Dudek, Finnigan, Krueger Band.

Brian Auger est un organiste de jazz, d’acid jazz et de rock qui a collaboré avec de nombreux artistes de premier plan tels que que Rod Stewart, Tony Williams, Billy Cobham, Jimi Hendrix, Sonny Boy Williamson, Led Zeppelin, Eric Burdon…

Avec son orgue Hammond, Il a réussi à fusionné le jazz et la pop anglaise dans son groupe Brian Auger’s Oblivion Express qu’il a fondé en 1970.

Ses deux albums phares avec cette formation sont bien entendu les opus Live Oblivion, Volume 1 (le bleu sorti en 1974) et Live Oblivion, Volume 2 (le rose sorti en 1976).
